Reasons to homeschool my daughter.
1. I'm not convinced that sitting in a classroom with 29 other kids being talked to and writing things down is the best way for children to learn. It's too much listening and writing and not enough looking and doing.
2. Primary schools in the UK are closing gardens and ponds to make room for more academics, or due to lack of funding.
3. Employers are asking for more "soft skills" things that can't be measured in exams, such as communication skills, leadership and flexibility while schools and being directed towards more academic skills and more rigidity.
4. My daughter can travel with us.
I am helping Jasmine with her homeschooling and I think the best reason to do it is that you can pick up things she doesn't understand at once and make sure she does get them, thereby increasing intelligence and making sure that misunderstanding does not continue to influence the rest of the subject from there on out.
